Benefits of working with Rent One
Rent One is a diverse, family-oriented workplace where you’ll form relationships that last a lifetime. Our aim isn’t to manage you; motivating is more our style!
CLOSED SUNDAYS, HOLIDAYS AND NIGHTS
Unlike traditional retail, Rent One is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. We are always closed on Sundays and major holidays (including New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas). Offering our team members a healthy work-life balance is of the utmost importance to us, and this schedule has proven to provide our employees with ample time for family and friends.
We provide structured on-the-job training that includes a 120-day remote training class for every new hire. Beyond that, there are five types of certifications offered—delivery, collections, sales, administration and leadership—all designed to guide our employees to the top. (Completed certifications include either a raise or a new bonus opportunity!) With over 70 stores spread over 8 states, there are always open positions and opportunities for advancement!
You want to work your way up the leadership ladder, but how do you do it? We’ll guide you through the process with our easy-to-navigate career track. We happily provide training that’s tailored to your goals—all you have to do is ask!
After one year of employment, you can invest in our 401K program. Rent One will match 40% of your first 5% and 30% of your next 5%. With our plan, you’ll have a variety of professionally managed investment fund choices and around-the-clock access to your account. Plus, you’ll enjoy the advantages of pre-tax contributions, which lowers your taxable income while building your retirement account.
Education & Health Perks
REIMBURSEMENT FOR EDUCATION AND GYM MEMBERSHIPS
Rent One provides reimbursements in two specific areas that we greatly value as a company: education and fitness. You may receive up to $200 for any work-related educational classes you wish to take outside of Rent One. We will also reimburse you for gym memberships up to $200 a year—whether it’s a traditional gym, kickboxing, CrossFit or another fitness facility.
At Rent One, your health and wellness matter dearly to us, which is why we’ll provide you with the comfort that comes from knowing you and your family are well provided for. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance programs are made available to regular full-time employees on the first day of the month following 60 days of full-time employment. We also offer a selection of optional benefits, including additional life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, critical illness and accident coverage.
We value people on a personal level. From the ownership of the company all the way down to the newest members of our team.
Store Manager | Sikeston, MO
"They value people and not just their employees but also the customers. If you really look at Rent One, they put people over profit, and that is a value that I can stand behind."
Loss Prevention Director
"I came from outside the company, and I’ve had just as many opportunities to move on and advance as someone who had been with the company for decades. They gave me those opportunities, and I took advantage of them. The opportunity is there if you’ll take it."
Store Manager | Cahokia, IL
"What I enjoy most about Rent One is the interaction with my employees and my customers—it’s just a great feeling."
Regional Manager | Region 5
"One of the things that I find very forward-thinking with this company is they always figure out ways to help with training the trainer. They actually take time to train more on how to help people and then to recognize problem areas to help them be successful."
Co-Manager | Poplar Bluff, MO
"There’s always room to grow. Rent One is great about nurturing people’s abilities, teaching them skills and allowing them to have the room to grow into any position that they would like. You can start out as a delivery tech and end up running your own store if that’s what your personal goals are."
